A-Level study plan: ten weeks from specification audit to full papers

A ten-week revision framework combining specification retrieval, component drills, interleaving and timed examination papers.

Build the plan from your official timetable, exact subject codes and component weightings. Allocate more sessions to weak, near or heavily weighted papers.

Weeks 1–2: audit the specification

Turn each syllabus into a traffic-light map and complete short diagnostics. Retrieve key facts, methods and examples before opening notes. Separate missing knowledge from weak exam execution.

Weeks 3–5: repair and produce

Alternate focused content retrieval with authentic response units: an essay plan and paragraph, a calculation sequence, a source evaluation or a practical-data question. Correct errors through independent re-attempt.

Weeks 6–8: interleave components

Mix topics so method selection becomes part of the work. Sit timed sections and then full papers. Track marks by assessment objective or question family, not only total percentage.

Weeks 9–10: simulate and taper

Complete final full papers under authorised conditions. Use the remaining time for recurring gaps, not wholesale note rewriting. Reduce load before the first exam and protect recovery between papers.

Daily session rule

Every revision block should end with output that can be checked: recalled answers, solved problems, an essay paragraph or a timed response.
