What APSMO papers reward
Items test flexible problem solving — number, geometry, patterns and multi-step reasoning — more than a single textbook exercise. Later questions jump in difficulty; finishing every item is not the only goal.
How to prepare
Sit a timed paper in the series your school has entered, then drill the families that stalled you. Peer AMC Junior or UKMT Junior papers can add unseen items once the APSMO clock is familiar.
