Five modules, 27 questions and 40 minutes each. Most courses ask for Mathematics 1 plus two others.

The ESAT exam is the Engineering and Science Admissions Test. Universities name the modules they want. Most courses require Mathematics 1 and two further modules. Do not assume every applicant sits all five.
What one module looks like
- 27 multiple-choice questions.
- 40 minutes, timed separately.
- No calculator.
- 1 mark for a correct answer. No mark is deducted for a wrong answer.
Results are reported for each module, not as one combined percentage.
Choose the two extra modules from the course list
Mathematics 2, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are the usual choices. If the page names Physics and Mathematics 2, those are the drills to time. A chemistry module will not prepare the decision you make on a mechanics item.
