Question 1

What is GAMSAT?

Accepted Answer

GAMSAT is ACER’s Graduate Medical School Admissions Test: Section I reasoning in humanities, Section II written communication, and Section III reasoning in science. RubricMark sits Section I and Section III at rubricmark.com/gamsat and marks Section II after you write. ACER publishes the section clocks and the March and September calendar.

Question 2

How do I study for GAMSAT?

Accepted Answer

Sit one timed Section I set and one Section III set on RubricMark to find the bottleneck, then alternate those sections and write one Section II task each week — submit it, then read the criterion notes. Keep full clocks as checkpoints. Use Ronri for science relationships you still have to produce. Confirm dates on the ACER GAMSAT site.

Question 3

How do I prepare for GAMSAT Section 2?

Accepted Answer

Write under the clock, then submit for marks. RubricMark marks GAMSAT Section II after you write at rubricmark.com/gamsat. Review the criterion notes, rewrite one task, and leave a rest day before the sitting. Section I and III timed sets stay on the same page.

Question 4

What are the three GAMSAT sections?

Accepted Answer

Section I — Reasoning in Humanities and Social Sciences (~100 min); Section II — Written Communication, two essays (~60 min); and Section III — Reasoning in Biological and Physical Sciences at first-year undergraduate level (~170 min).

Question 5

How long are GAMSAT scores valid?

Accepted Answer

GAMSAT runs twice a year in Australia (typically March and September), and scores are valid for two years at most Australian schools. UK and Ireland sittings follow ACER’s international calendar.

Question 6

How does RubricMark help with GAMSAT prep?

Accepted Answer

RubricMark provides GAMSAT-format section drills — timed MCQs for Sections I and III plus rubric-aligned feedback on Section II essays. These are original, exam-spec items for reasoning practice.

Question 7

Can I try GAMSAT practice tests on RubricMark?

Accepted Answer
