An eight-week GMAT study plan built around timed retrieval

Move from diagnosis to section skills, mixed sets, and full simulations without passive review.

An eight-week plan works best when each week includes retrieval, timed work, and error correction. Adjust volume to your baseline and application deadline.

Weeks 1–2: diagnose and rebuild

Take a representative diagnostic. Map errors across Quantitative, Verbal, and Data Insights, then rebuild the two weakest foundations. Practise short sets and explain answers before reading solutions.

Weeks 3–5: section development

Rotate focused days across the three sections. Add one mixed set each week so skills remain retrievable outside a chapter label. Track accuracy and time by item family.

Weeks 6–7: timed integration

Complete 45-minute sections in different permitted orders. Practise break timing and the official review-and-edit feature. Analyse every uncertain answer, including correct guesses.

Week 8: simulate and taper

Run a final realistic simulation early enough to review it. In the last days, use brief recall, sleep consistently, and verify identification, appointment, test-centre or online-exam, rescheduling, and prohibited-item policies on mba.com.

Do not chase volume at the expense of correction. The useful unit is a mistake you can now solve independently.
