How do I sign in?

Why was I signed out after a while?

Your session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity to protect the account on shared family devices. Click anywhere or refresh and sign in again.

Can a parent create an account for their child?

Yes. Many families use one sign-in for home practice — a parent email is fine. Older students often use their own address. You do not need permission from a school to start.

Does my child need their school to use RubricMark?

No. Classroom marking for teachers lives on rubricmark.com; practice for your child lives here. Teachers are never copied on trials or results unless you choose to share them.

Levels are a fun progress badge per subject — they rise when recent trial scores improve. Unlocking a tier changes your avatar; they do not lock any tests. Every pack stays available at every level.

How is my learning trajectory calculated?

The trajectory chart fits a curve to recent trial scores in each subject, weighting newer attempts more heavily. It shows where you are heading if you keep practising at the same pace — helpful for students and parents planning the next few weeks.

Yes — maker.rubricmark.com is a free browser studio for LEGO builds, Pi wiring, music sheets, and robotics notes. Browsing does not require an account; uploading a project needs sign-in and a cover photo (public catalog only, up to 5 per day).

Sitting catalog trials, viewing levels and trajectory, and reading basic results is free. Heavier actions — generating a brand-new full-length trial, remediation packs, uploading your own past paper, or extra Selective Marks School Estimator runs after the free allowance — use marking credits from prepaid packs. There is no monthly student subscription.

What are marking credits?

Marking credits are a prepaid balance on your account. Families buy packs in Account → Billing when they need features like trial generation, remediation drills, personal-pack uploads, or additional Selective Marks School Estimator assessments. Credits do not auto-renew — you top up when you choose.

Can I change the email on our account?

Email is tied to how you signed in. For Google or Microsoft, update it in that account; for email + password, contact us to migrate. We are working on self-serve email updates.

How do I delete our account?

Open Account, scroll to the bottom, and use "Delete account". This permanently removes practice history and cannot be undone. Download or screenshot any results you want to keep first.

Where is my data stored?

Your account data is stored in secure cloud storage in a region you can verify on your Account page. Each user has a private area; content is not mixed between accounts. We do not use your submissions to train public AI models.

Who can see my practice answers and writing?

Only people with access to your signed-in account. Trials and scores stay in your private student area — not your school’s LMS unless you forward a link yourself. RubricMark staff do not browse student folders; they only access what you send through support.

Open Results for any completed trial to review scores and feedback. For a full copy of account data, use the contact form with topic "Account" — we will explain what we can export and any retention limits.

We maintain a public subprocessor register listing the third parties that process personal data on our behalf — for example Google Cloud and Vertex AI, Stripe for billing, and our email delivery provider.
