因为……所以…… connects a reason to a result. 虽然……但是/可是…… contrasts an accepted fact with another fact. 不但……而且…… adds a further point.
因为下雨，所以我们没出去。
Yīnwèi xià yǔ, suǒyǐ wǒmen méi chūqù.
Because it rained, we did not go out.
这本书不但有趣，而且很实用。
Zhè běn shū bùdàn yǒuqù, érqiě hěn shíyòng.
This book is not only interesting but also practical.
Both halves of a paired connector need not always be present. Choose a relationship first; do not add 因为 to a sentence that gives no reason.
