Hanzi, pinyin and traditional Chinese

Hanzi are Chinese characters. Pinyin is a Roman-letter pronunciation system for Mandarin. Zhuyin is another phonetic system, used especially in Taiwan. Simplified and traditional characters are different written forms; they are not two different systems of Mandarin tones.
