I was tired, so I slept for a while.
Usage and distinctions
寝る often refers to going to bed or lying down as well as sleeping. 眠る（ねむる）focuses on sleep. 寝る is ichidan: 寝て, 寝た, 寝ない. 眠る is godan: 眠って.
