What is the SQE1 FLK1 format?

FLK1 is one of the two Functioning Legal Knowledge assessments in the SRA’s SQE1. It is delivered as two sittings of 90 single-best-answer (A–E) multiple-choice questions of about 153 minutes each on the same day. FLK1 covers Business Law and Practice, Dispute Resolution, Contract, Tort, the Legal System of England and Wales, Legal Services, and Ethics and Professional Conduct.

Each single-best-answer question is worth one mark for a correct response with no penalty for a wrong answer. Your FLK1 total is aggregated across both sittings on the day and reported by the SRA / Kaplan alongside FLK2.
