UCAT ANZ 2026 dates and booking deadline
UCAT ANZ 2026 bookings opened on 3 March and the standard deadline was 15 May. Testing ran from 1 July to 5 August. The test fee in Australia and New Zealand was $335.
UCAT ANZ 2026 dates, for university entry in 2027, put the booking deadline months before the test. Bookings opened on Tuesday 3 March 2026. The standard deadline was Friday 15 May at 11:59pm AEST. Late booking ran to 29 May, and the final deadline was 5 June. Testing itself was 1 July to 5 August 2026. If you are reading after that window, it is closed. The consortium does not make exceptions. The next cycle’s dates go up on ucat.edu.au when that consortium publishes them. Do not reuse a July workshop as the exam date, and do not reuse these 2026 days for a later year.
Switch the chart between the booking deadlines and the testing window. The number is the day of 2026. The note is the calendar date. The gap between 5 June and 1 July is the point: by the time the test starts, new bookings are already finished.

UCAT ANZ 2026 test fee
Fees on the test-cycle page, in Australian dollars, were $335 for a test in Australia or New Zealand, $240 concession in Australia only, and $405 for a test outside Australia and New Zealand. The late fee was an extra $85. The final late fee was an extra $185, and late fees were non-refundable. A refund kept a $50 deduction from the test fee. Rescheduling after 29 June, 11:59pm AEST, cost $25. The consortium recommended booking a July date. Centres and times appear in the booking system, not on a coaching flyer.
You register yourself. A school cannot book it for you. Create one Pearson account. The test is in a centre in Australia, New Zealand, or an overseas location the system is offering. It is not sat at home. Arrive early enough for check-in. The confirmation email is the address and the time.
Who can register for UCAT ANZ
UCAT eligibility is about schooling, not about how ready you feel. Australian Year 11 is too early, even if you are already taking a Year 12 subject. A student spreading Year 12 over two years sits in the final year only. New Zealand Year 12 and below cannot book. Candidates who have started or finished a bachelor degree can sit, and then must check whether the undergraduate course they want will consider someone who is not a school leaver. You cannot sit UCAT ANZ and UCAT UK in the same year. The consortium treats that as misconduct, and both results can be cancelled. An Australian or New Zealand application needs the ANZ result. Universities in the consortium receive scores in early September. Your own score report arrives from Pearson, for your records. It is valid for that cycle only: a 2026 result is for 2027 entry. What to do with the year you still have
- If the window you needed has closed, write the next cycle’s open date when the consortium publishes it. Do not pay a late fee for a year you were not eligible to sit.
- If you are in the final year and the next booking window is still ahead, put the standard deadline on the calendar before you put the test morning on it. The chart’s first view is the one that locks you out.

- The week you book, stop adding new material. Clear what you can already retrieve. Access arrangements and the concession scheme have their own deadlines on the same cycle page, earlier than test day. Apply when you are eligible, not on the morning.
What the gap is not for
The weeks after bookings close are not a reason to start a new syllabus. They are weeks of timed sections under the real clocks. A three-day course in April can introduce the shapes. It does not replace a July or August morning in a test centre, and it is not the morning. Abstract Reasoning is no longer a UCAT ANZ subtest. Coaching talk that still adds a fourth cognitive score, or that quotes a total above 2700, is describing an older paper. Cancellation had its own deadline in 2026: 12 June. After the test, universities in the consortium received results in early September. That delivery is not the application close. UAC, VTAC, QTAC, SATAC, TISC, GEMSAS, and any university form each publish their own deadline, often in the weeks after results.
