HireVue says most video-based assessments take under 20–30 minutes; set aside about 45 minutes to be safe. RubricMark’s full VI practice is sized to about 20 minutes for seven prompts (roughly 30 seconds prep and 90 seconds speak each). Always follow the prep and answer caps in your invitation.

Aim for the shorter end of your invitation window — usually about 90 seconds. Open with an one-sentence answer, spend most time on your actions, close with the result.

Does RubricMark record video or audio?

Accepted Answer

Microphone audio only for practice marking. RubricMark grades the recording directly (like IELTS speaking) — it does not convert speech to text first, then mark the transcript. No employer-style webcam video is captured on RubricMark.
